目标:通过系统性Mock Interview练习,在8个月内达到Amazon Senior TPM面试的"Strong Hire"水平 注:原计划6个月过于乐观,调整为8个月(6个月准备+2个月面试期持续练习) 核心理念:Mock Interview不是"练习",是"诊断+治疗"循环


Mock Interview 的三个阶段

阶段1: 诊断(M1)     → 发现真实问题
阶段2: 针对性训练(M2-4) → 修复具体问题
阶段3: 全真模拟(M5-6)   → 实战验证

阶段1:诊断性 Mock Interview(第1个月)

目的

不是为了"通过",而是暴露所有问题。越早发现问题越好。

操作方式

  1. 找一位有FAANG面试经验的人(不需要是TPM,PM/SDE也可以)
  2. 全程英语,60分钟
  3. 模拟标准行为面试:4-5个LP问题
  4. 请对方从以下维度评分(1-5分):
维度 评分标准
英语流利度 1=频繁卡壳 3=基本流利有口音 5=接近母语
STAR结构清晰度 1=想到哪说哪 3=有结构但松散 5=完美STAR
案例深度 1=泛泛而谈 3=有细节 5=数据驱动+深刻洞察
Executive Presence 1=不自信 3=正常 5=自信+沉稳+有气场
Follow-up应对 1=被追问就慌 3=能应对 5=追问中展现更深思考

诊断后的行动

根据评分确定优先级: - 1-2分的维度 → 必须优先解决 - 3分的维度 → 持续改进 - 4-5分的维度 → 保持


阶段2:针对性训练(第2-4个月)

根据诊断结果选择训练重点

如果"英语流利度"低分

  • 加大iTalki课时(每周3次)
  • 每天增加Shadowing到30分钟
  • 每个STAR案例先写稿 → 朗读10遍 → 脱稿说
  • 录音自己的回答,反复听,标记卡壳点

如果"STAR结构"低分

  • 把每个案例写成严格的STAR格式卡片(一面问题,一面答案要点)
  • 用计时器练习:S(30秒) T(20秒) A(2-3分钟) R(30秒)
  • 请iTalki老师专门做STAR结构训练

如果"案例深度"低分

  • 每个案例补充3个数据点
  • 准备"Why did you choose this approach?"的回答
  • 准备"What would you do differently?"的回答
  • 准备"What was the biggest risk and how did you mitigate it?"的回答

如果"Executive Presence"低分

  • 参加Toastmasters(每周1次)
  • 练习"Power Pose":面试前2分钟站立,双手叉腰,深呼吸
  • 录视频(不只是音频)回看自己的body language
  • 练习开场:微笑、眼神接触、清晰的"Thank you for the opportunity"

如果"Follow-up应对"低分

  • 为每个STAR案例准备5个可能的follow-up问题及回答
  • 练习"Bridge回答法":承认 → 转向 → 展示深度
    • "That's a great question. Actually, looking back, I think..."
    • "I'm glad you asked that. The key insight was..."
  • 练习说"I don't know, but here's how I would approach it"

每周Mini Mock

除了专业Mock Interview外,每周做2次"Mini Mock":

  1. 随机抽1道LP问题
  2. 计时5分钟回答(手机录音)
  3. 回听,用上述评分维度自评
  4. 记录改进点

阶段3:全真模拟(第5-6个月)

全真模拟的标准

必须满足以下条件才算"全真":

  • 面试官是有FAANG面试经验的人(不是朋友)
  • 全程英语
  • 60分钟完整模拟
  • 包含4-5个LP问题 + 1个System Design
  • 面试官给出正式评价:Strong Hire / Hire / Lean Hire / No Hire
  • 面试后有15分钟书面反馈

  1. 24小时内写复盘(存入此目录)

    • 哪些问题回答得好?为什么?

  2. 48小时内修正案例

    • 根据反馈重写表现差的STAR案例
    • 录音新版本
  3. 下次模拟前review上次复盘


Amazon面试特有的"坑"

1. "Tell me about a time..." 的陷阱

Amazon面试官只接受过去真实发生的案例,不接受假设性回答。如果你说"I would do...",面试官会打断:"I need a specific example from your past experience."

应对: 确保每条LP都有2-3个真实案例,不要临场编造。

2. Bar Raiser 的额外考验

Bar Raiser会故意问刁钻的follow-up: - "But why didn't you just...?"(质疑你的方案选择) - "What data did you use to make that decision?"(追问数据依据) - "If you could go back, what would you change?"(考察反思能力)

应对: 准备每个案例的"反面"——你做错了什么,你会怎么改进。

3. "Two-way door" vs "One-way door"

Amazon分决策为: - Two-way door:可逆的,应该快速决策 - One-way door:不可逆的,需要谨慎

面试中常问:"How did you decide whether to move fast or be cautious?"

应对: 用你的双11经验(one-way door = 架构升级限制爆炸半径;two-way door = 运营方案快速调整)

4. "Disagree and Commit" 不是简单服从

很多候选人把这条LP理解为"老板说什么就做什么"。错。Amazon要求: 1. 你必须先disagree(有backbone) 2. 用数据和逻辑表达disagree 3. 如果最终决策不是你的方案,你commit 100%执行 4. 不在背后抱怨

Customer Obsession

  1. Tell me about a time you went above and beyond for a customer/user.
  2. Give me an example of when you had to balance customer needs with business constraints.

Ownership

  1. Tell me about a time you took on something outside your area of responsibility.
  2. Describe a situation where you saw a problem and took the initiative to fix it rather than waiting for someone else.

Deliver Results

  1. Tell me about your most challenging project and how you delivered it.
  2. Give me an example of when you had to sacrifice short-term goals for long-term success.

Dive Deep

  1. Tell me about a time when you had to dive deep into data to solve a problem.
  2. Describe a situation where everyone else thought things were fine, but you found a critical issue.

Have Backbone; Disagree and Commit

  1. Tell me about a time you disagreed with your manager.
  2. Describe a situation where you had to push back against a popular decision.

Earn Trust

  1. Tell me about a time you had to earn the trust of a skeptical team.
  2. Describe a situation where you had to deliver difficult feedback.

Invent and Simplify

  1. Tell me about a time you created a new process or tool that significantly improved efficiency.
  2. Give me an example of when you simplified something complex.

Think Big

  1. Tell me about a time you proposed a bold idea that others initially resisted.

Bias for Action

  1. Tell me about a time you had to make a decision with incomplete information.

Hire and Develop the Best

  1. Tell me about someone you mentored or developed, and what happened.

Insist on the Highest Standards

  1. Tell me about a time you refused to accept the status quo and raised the bar.
