Amazon TPM面试流程

投递/内推 → Recruiter Call (30min)
         → Phone Screen (60min, 行为+技术)
         → Writing Assessment (48小时-1周)
         → On-site Loop (5轮 × 55min)
              ├── 1-2轮:System Design
              ├── 2-3轮:Behavioral (LP)
              └── 1轮:Bar Raiser (跨部门高级面试官)
         → Debrief → Offer/Reject

关键规则

  • 每轮面试考察2-3条LP,面试官之间会分配LP避免重复
  • Bar Raiser拥有一票否决权,他/她来自其他部门,确保招聘标准
  • STAR格式是标配,Amazon面试官受训用STAR评估候选人
  • "数据"和"结果"是Amazon的信仰,每个案例必须有量化结果

1. Customer Obsession 客户至上

Leaders start with the customer and work backwards.

STAR回答模板

每个回答控制在 3-5分钟,结构如下:

S - Situation(30秒)
    "I was the TPM for [project] at [company].
     The challenge was [specific problem with numbers]."

T - Task(20秒)
    "My responsibility was to [specific deliverable/outcome]."

A - Action(2-3分钟,这是重点)
    "I took three key actions:
     First, I [action 1 with specific detail]...
     Second, I [action 2]...
     Third, I [action 3]..."

R - Result(30秒)
    "As a result, we achieved [quantified outcome].
     The project won [award/recognition].
     More importantly, [lasting impact/lesson]."

回答的黄金法则

  1. 每个案例必须有数字:16.5s→5.4s, 26个团队, 零P1事故, 4亿DAU
  2. 用"I"不用"We":面试官要听你做了什么,不是团队做了什么
  3. Action是核心:70%时间花在Action上,面试官最想听你的具体行动
  4. 准备follow-up:面试官一定会追问"Why did you choose that approach?" "What would you do differently?"
  5. 不要背诵:用关键词提纲,不要逐字背,否则听起来像机器人

System Design 准备

Amazon TPM的System Design不是让你写代码,而是考察:

考察维度

  1. 如何拆解一个大项目(Work Breakdown Structure)
  2. 如何识别和管理依赖关系
  3. 如何设计里程碑和交付计划
  4. 如何处理风险和trade-off
  5. 对系统架构的基础理解(API, 数据库, 微服务, 缓存, 负载均衡)

Writing Assessment 准备

Amazon TPM的写作评估通常是:

  • 给你一个业务场景
  • 要求你写一份1-2页的项目计划或风险评估
  • 48小时内完成

注意事项

  • Amazon文化偏好六页纸叙事文档而非PPT
  • 写作风格:简洁、数据驱动、结构清晰
  • 避免模糊表达:"significantly improved" → "reduced from 16.5s to 5.4s"

面试日实战技巧

Do's

  • 每个回答以"The situation was..."开头,自然进入STAR
  • 遇到不确定的问题,说"Let me think about that for a moment"(不要沉默)
  • 回答完后问"Would you like me to go deeper on any part?"
  • 准备3个问面试官的问题(展示对团队/业务的兴趣)

Don'ts

  • 不要用中国公司内部术语(P8, Aone, 双11直接说 → 用 "equivalent to L6/L7", "internal agile tool", "the world's largest shopping festival")
  • 不要回答超过5分钟(面试官会打断你,这是负分)
  • 不要说"We did..." → 说"I drove/led/designed..."
  • 不要回避失败案例,Amazon喜欢听你如何从失败中学习
